Nuuksio National Park is a forest-and-lake destination near the Helsinki metropolitan area. A marked day route is a practical starting point for a first visit.

Choose your route first

Check the route’s length, terrain, starting point and current conditions on Metsähallitus’s website. Match the walk to your time and experience. Summer walking times may not be suitable for snow or slippery conditions.

Prepare for the day

Bring a map, suitable footwear, clothing for the weather, food, drinking water and a charged phone. Check transport to your exact starting point and the return connection before leaving.

Follow park rules

Use designated facilities and check restrictions before lighting a fire. Do not assume a fireplace can always be used. Take your rubbish away and respect wildlife and other visitors.
