Start your study plans with a specific programme and the institution offering it. Check the teaching language, entry requirements, application route and deadlines before preparing an application.

Choose a programme

Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences offer different degree programmes. Use the institution’s own information and the national Studyinfo service to confirm what is available and how to apply.

Plan fees and living costs

Students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland usually pay tuition fees for English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programmes, although exemptions can apply. Check your own fee status with the institution. Scholarships and tuition waivers vary and should not be assumed to cover living costs.

Admission and immigration are separate

An admission offer does not replace any residence permit or registration you may need. Check Migri’s instructions for your nationality and situation, and leave time for the required process.
